Whether you fall on the Debian or Devuan side of the Systemd / SysV debate, adding the latest and greatest Operating Systems is something that Packet strives to do on a regular basis.  We're pleased to offer Debian 8, which includes systemd by default, the 3.5 Linux kernel, PHP 5.6, MariaDB 10, as well as a host of other security and feature updates.

We've certified and tested the 8.2 version of the release (you can read the whole 8.x release notes here) against all servers on the Packet platform, including our Type 1 application server and Type 3 NVME-powered flash memory server.on Packet bare metal as of today.
